Tamara Orozco is a photographer based in Oakland, California. She has documented political, artistic, and cultural movements in Cuba, Mexico, and New York City.
Her work on the Indigenous Gathering of the Americas in Vícam, Sonora, Mexico, as well as, the 2010 mega-rally and march for immigration reform in Washington D.C. has been published by the non-profit radio network, Radio Bilingüe. Other work of hers has been published by the Washington Post, Huffington Post, and Turnstyle News.
Orozco’s lens is informed by an educational background in Ethnic Studies, experience as an educator, and advocate for immigrant, workers, and women’s rights, as well as, a passion for music and culture.
