Emil Guillermo is an award-winning journalist and commentator. He won an American Book Award for Amok: Essays from an Asian American Perspective. A former host of NPR’s All Things Considered, his work has been featured on radio and television and in newspapers in the U.S. and Asia. For nearly 16 years, his "Amok" column was the most widely read column on Asian-American issues in AsianWeek. He blogs at www.amok.com and for the Asian American Legal Defense and Education Fund. In college Emil was chosen as the class wit at Harvard, where he was much funnier than Bill Gates. Born and raised in San Francisco, Emil lives in Northern California.
